WHAT IS laRC?
LARC (LA Radio Club) is a fiscally-sponsored project providing professional development to emerging journalists in Southern California.
LARC connects local journalists to the resources they need to succeed. We offer a variety of free programs, including a speaker series, skill-based workshops and a mentorship program.
Through our Reporting Incubator, we support early-career reporters to produce hyperlocal service journalism with a civic focus. The pieces are distributed on our podcast, LARC Presents, and in collaboration with local outlets like KCRW, KCHUNG and LA Public Press.
As of 2024, LARC has fiscal sponsorship through Independent Arts & Media (IAM), which allows us to receive government grants and tax-deductible donations. To make a contribution to LA Radio Club, you can visit our Donation Portal.
